The Wayfarers - August 17, 2018

The Wayfarers will bring their high-energy stringband music to the barn to help us kick off our fall music season. Inspired by traditional Appalachian mountain music, their old-timey sound based around fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar, upright (washtub!) bass, and tight harmonies will fit the barn like a well-worn glove. Whether at a summer festival (like Larryfest), a barn square dance, or a street corner, The Wayfarers bring smiles wherever they play. The Wayfarers play classics like ‘Pig in a Pen’ and ‘When First Unto This Country’, along with originals like ‘Old Muskingum’, that fit comfortably within the lineage of great Americana roots music. For this final show of the summer season, doors will open at 7:30, with music to begin at 8:00. We’re asking $15; bring cash to pay at the door. BYOB for the communal washtubs and a snack to share if you’d like. As always, you must RSVP to reserve your seat for the show. Stringband music in the barn at summers’ end, what could be better!
