Chris Koza - February 10, 2017

Minneapolis-based musician Chris Koza has established quite a library of music for himself, including both solo work and as composer and songwriter for the ensemble Rogue Valley. Chris’ music has great range. From sparse, haunting tunes like “Prism” to this wonderfully stripped-down version of “Drown”, —an ode to the Mississippi River that’s sure to resonate with our local crowd—to a bluesy little number like “Lost Enough”, Chris’ music will be perfect for our listening crowd.

With Rogue Valley, Chris and bandmates undertook the incredible task of releasing 4 albums, each coinciding with a season, in the span of one year. One of the songs from that project, “The Wolves and the Ravens”, was featured in “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”. I’m sure if we ask nice, Chris will play some other Rogue Valley songs while he’s with us, like “Geese in the Flyway”. With his gentle voice, great song-writing and excellent musicianship, Chris’ music will be perfectly suited to our cozy barn on a cold, winter’s night. To learn more about Chris and his music, visit his website.

As always, to reserve your seats for this show, you must RSVP. We’re asking $15 for this show; bring cash to pay at the door. Doors will open at 7 with music to begin at 7:30. As always, BYOB for the communal washtubs and a snack to share if you’d like. Warm music on a cold night…what could be better.
