Boxstore Bird - November 12, 2016

We're very excited to host Boxstore Bird at the barn. These guys remind me of a band that most of you have probably never heard of--but whom I (Jeff) happen to have loved when they were making music--Onus B. Johnson (from Flagstaff, Arizona). Like Onus, Boxstore Bird (from Minneapolis, Minnesota) utilizes banjo, guitar, fiddle and, most importantly, great songwriting and style to create music that we really dig. Boxstore Bird has an album in the works, so we'll be treated to some newly emerging music at the show. To get a taste of what's in store for the evening, check out this video of their song Dead Birds, from their upcoming album 'Dirt Makes Pretty'. This version of Run and Hide should also give you a taste of the music that will be in store for us this evening. To learn more about Boxstore Bird, and lead singer Drew Peterson's other projects, visit the band's website.

To reserve your seats for this show (Saturday, November 12, 2016) please RSVP. We’re asking $15 for this show. As always, BYOB for the communal washtubs and a snack to share if you’d like. For this fall show, doors will open at 7:00 with music to begin at 7:30. By the time this show rolls around, I think we'll all be ready for a chill evening. I imagine the music of Boxstore Bird will be just what the doctor ordered.
