Katie McNally Trio - January 31, 2020

Can you imagine a better way to warm the spirit in the dark days of winter than to grab a pint (or a nip of something else) and settle in for an evening of rousing fiddle music in Three Spring Barn? We can't, which means we're extremely excited to introduce the Katie McNally Trio to our Three Spring Barn faithful, featuring Cape Breton / Scottish fiddler Katie McNally! Of the trio, Folk Radio UK has said, "An innovative ensemble as grounded in the tradition as it is ground-breaking", and the Boston Globe has quite simply called Katie "formidable". This Boston-based group has played across the country and throughout the UK and beyond. To get a taste of what's in store for us, check out Lua's Dance and this great medley. Katie is a regular instructor at fiddle camps and workshops, so we're all certain to learn lots about the great traditions of Scottish and Cape Breton fiddle music.

We're asking $15 for this show, and as always, please RSVP to reserve your seat for the evening. Doors will open at 7 with music to begin at 730. Please BYOB for the communal washtubs and a snack to share if you'd like. Scottish ales welcome...just saying. No matter the weather outside, the barn will be warm and cozy, due to both the wood stove and the tapping of your feet, so please help us kick off 2020 with this show!
