Chris Koza - August 31, 2019

8/31/19 - Seats are still available

Chris returns to the barn to close out summer and kick off our fall 2019 season, and he'll have a new album in tow. In April, Chris released Sleepwalkers Part 1. The album evokes real and imagined nostalgia, the kind that's a little melancholy. The song, Station Wagon Blues, nails that sentiment--even with it's pop sound--with lines like, "cue up the mixtape, to say what you really mean" and "only in film does the good side succeed". When lyrics like that are coupled with Chris' dreamy voice, end of summer heartache blues may commence. Here's a personal favorite from one of Chris' earlier albums that carries the same vibe, Wolves and the Ravens. To learn more about Chris and his music, visit his website.

For this Saturday show, doors will open at 7:00 with music to begin at 7:30. We're asking $15; bring cash to pay at the door and please RSVP to reserve your seats. Regulars, you know the drill--BYOB for the communal washtubs and a snack to share if you'd like. We're looking forward to seeing you all again at the barn!
