One of the most memorable shows that’s ever taken place at Three Springs Barn was the original appearance of Antony and the Tramps. Those of us that were there still talk about the show, nearly two years later. Therefore, it is with great enthusiasm that we anticipate the return of Antony and the Tramps to the barn! What was said then, holds true now: this band is a collective of truly amazing, incredibly skilled musicians. Jazz, with jam-band elements, roots, a dash of gypsy and Americana, and straight up rock can only attempt to describe their unique sound..and they bring it all to a live show! We can also add that this is simply a great group of guys. If you missed their first appearance at the barn, take a listen to Little Black Anxiety Box, and follow that with a stripped down version of I’ve Got Soul, and close with this excellent cover of Here Comes The Sun to get a small sense of the musical breadth of the band.
This show will sell out, so don’t hesitate to reserve your seats for Saturday, October 15, 2016. To do so, RSVP to Milesdog@tds.net. We’re asking $20 for this show and it’ll be worth every penny; cash at the door as usual. Doors open at 7:00, with music to begin at 7:30 (or so). BYOB for the communal washtubs and a snack to share if you’d like. Bring a birthday card for Antony too; you’ll be a few days early, but we’re sure he’ll appreciate the gesture. We promise a post-show musical high that will last days...
